AN
URBAN
LUXURY
RESIDENCE
This stronghold has been the summer residence of the Daru family since 1998. Once a fortress before the Mongol invasions, it was from the 16th century the house of the Persian Shah Administrator for Eastern Georgia. It also hosted a small nunnery for some time. During the Communist period, it was transformed into communal apartments for up to 110 individuals. It has returned to its former glory, and a limited number of its rooms are made available for some happy few, every year. We are happy to welcome you and hope you will enjoy your stay.
